Creativity is . . .

·        Expressed in many ways . . . just like we all have intelligence, we all have creativity . . . we just don’t realize that it can be shown in many different ways in all areas

·        Expressed at different levels . . . little c and big C . . . good teachers are creative everyday . . .being a good parent involves being creative (to figure out what to fix for dinner and how to get kids to eat it) . . .we are all creative in many ways everyday that we need to recognize and nurture

·        Needed to solve world problems that we do and do not know about

·        A way of maximizing human abilities (Einstein Quote)

·        The passion that leads to achievement . . . very intelligent students drop out of school because their academic needs are not being met (just like low achieving students who drop out) (Quote)

·        Making life easier . . . think of all the scientific discoveries and inventions that we benefit from . . . those discoveries and inventions required someone to be creative

·        Making life more enjoyable . . . think about the art, music, and other ways that make life so much richer and fuller . . . wouldn’t have those things without creative people

·        Developmental . . . some of the qualities that cause problems for creative people are the very ones needed to facilitate creativity
